About Erin Davis
Erin Davis (McDonough) is a 1985 graduate of UCLA and holds certifications in Family Law/Divorce Mediation in both California and Texas. For several years she served as the on-site Austin Family Court mediator helping families settle all areas of their disputes. The judges and attorneys often relied on Erin to help resolve their most challenging cases especially in instances that involved the welfare of the children. Throughout this time Erin maintained a successful divorce mediation practice in Southern California and in the past few years has completely devoted all her time to her California clients. Many Family Therapists and Divorce Attorneys in the Orange County/LA area refer their clients to Erin for mediation.
Why Mediate?Few things in life are more frightening than paying thousands of dollars to attorneys for difficult court appearances only to have a judge who doesn't know you make critical decisions about your future. Mediation provides a way for couples to divorce without going bankrupt or putting their children in the middle of an ugly custody battle. In mediation I help create options for couples that are specific to their circumstances.
Together we work towards an agreement that everyone can live with. I am passionate about mediation because it works. It saves money and heartache for everyone in the family. My own divorce experience inspired me to become a mediator. I know how difficult it can be to navigate through the court process. I meet with couples until we reach an agreement that satisfies the needs of both parties. We not only tackle the "big issues" but address each and every issue important to the client.
