About Erin McDonough

Erin McDonough is a 1985 graduate of UCLA. She is certified in Family Law Mediation is California and Texas. She served as the Austin Family Court mediator for three years helping families resolve all areas of their disputes. Judges and attorneys often sought Erin out to help mediate their most challenging cases, especially in instances that involved the welfare of the children. Erin has a private divorce mediation practice in Southern California and also contracts with a national mediation house that offers mediation throughout the United States.

Why Mediate?

"Few things in life are more frightening than paying thousands of dollars to attorneys for difficult court appearances only to have a judge who doesn't know you make critical decisions about your future. Mediation provides a way for couples to divorce without going bankrupt or putting their children in the middle of an ugly custody battle. In mediation I help create options for couples that are specific to their circumstances. Together we work towards an agreement that everyone can live with. I am passionate about mediation because it works. It saves money and heartache for everyone in the family. My own divorce experience inspired me to become a mediator.
